MULTI TARGET

DIRECT LIGAND

STRATEGY

We have more than 15years experience in design and synthesis of small molecule able to simultaneously interact  with two or pathways.

Research

Our main research aim is to develop novel chemical compounds capable to interact simultaneously with two or more biological targets. The Multi-Target Directed Ligand Strategy (MTDL) has grown in the last decades as a valid alternative to classical mono-targeting therapy. In particular, our focus is the design and synthesis of molecules able to find a place in cancer and neurodegenerative disorders' therapy.

Main currently research topics are:

:::  Design and synthesis of new molecules targeting chemoresistance in cancer therapy

:::  Synthesis of new multitarget drugs through the combination of pharmacophoric moieties for the neurodegenerative diseases

:::  Synthesis of small molecules to treat GBM.
