Partecipant to:

  • Simona Rapposelli graduated in 1999 at the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Pisa (Italy), with a major subject in Medicinal Chemistry.

  • In 2000, she received a grant  for a brief graduate research period working on the synthesis of bioactive compounds.

  • On 2003, she was awarded a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry.

  • Since the year 2003, Dr. Rapposelli has been a Researcher in Medicinal Chemistry at the Department of “Scienze Farmaceutiche” (Pharmaceutical Sciences), University of Pisa.

  • Since 2001 and up till 2006 she took part in three 2-years Research Projects of National Interest (PRIN) funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Scientific and Technological Research (MIUR).

  • In these funded research projects, she has actively participated both in the design and synthesis of new molecules.

  • In the period 2007-2008 she received a grant from “Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca” for the development of research programme entitled “Development of new molecules for the treatment of myocardial ischemia”.

  • Since 2007 she is Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Pisa.

  • Since 2009 she is member of the Steering Committee of the Graduate School in "Science of Drugs and Bioactive Substances" at the University of Pisa.

  • She is a reviewer for publications on several prestigious peer-reviewed international scientific journals (i.e. Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, European Journal of medicinal chemistry, International Journal of medicinal chemistry, Expert opinion on Drug Metabolism & Toxicology, Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, The Open Biomarkers Journal ,Archiv der Pharmazie, Antioxidants and Redox Signaling, Current Topics in Medicinal Chemistry).
